So Mediocre it Hurts

I never even thought this was possible. Non-profits shouldn’t harass volunteers who have done nothing but good work and devote their time to the organization’s mission. Neither should non-profits mislead their volunteers. Nor should they cover up their “mistakes” instead of being forthright and truthful to their donors. You don’t just poo-poo it away and say, “Oh, we’ll just make more money” and then sue the person you told all of that to.

Heck, even if the volunteer is terrible at what he/she does, I don’t think harassment would be deserved. Let alone a freaking lawsuit, unless the volunteer somehow caused massive irreparable damage, like destroying parts of a health clinic and maiming all the patients as a result or some terrible stuff like that.

If anyone can, please sign it, pass it along, what have you. My friend actually has relations that know Mr. Young, so he is definitely real.

Basically with all the budget cuts already happening to curb deficit, the House is proposing to cut some funding to the Federal Pell Grant. I don’t know how many of you followers have the grant paying for some of your tuition, but I do know there are quite a lot of people who won’t be able to afford their college education if they lose their grant. Furthermore, I have a feeling this will lead to further cuts in the future if it passes. It’s easy to take things away, it’s not easy to regain things you lose. 

So if you don’t support these cuts, make yourself heard. There’s a petition you can sign. It’s in the link.

Women who have their lives threatened and require an abortion won’t be able to get one in Mississippi. And who’s to say other states won’t get it into their minds to follow suit? And then think of all the crazy and HARMFUL/downright DEADLY things women would resort to in order to get an abortion that may not even be properly done.
